About The Position

The Assistant Team Leader supports the Team Leader in all aspects of store operations, helps lead the team, promotes operational excellence, and delivers a consistent, high-quality customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role involving coaching, problem-solving, and ensuring daily work meets company standards. The Assistant Team Leader leads the store when the Team Leader is absent.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–9 months of assistant manager or related experience.
• Strong math, English communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Retail, convenience, food service, or supervisory experience.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a Team Leader role.

Responsibilities

• Help train and coach team members and support their performance.
• Promote a positive team environment and lead the store in the Team Leader’s absence.
• Support daily operations and consistent execution.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and staff coverage.
• Accurately handle cash, reports, and store paperwork.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Support ordering, stocking, and merchandising.
• Monitor inventory, reduce shrink, and maintain store presentation.
• Drive sales through promotions and merchandising standards.
• Track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Follow company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support food, fuel, and workplace safety standards and maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Fuel discounts based on tenure: $0.10 off per gallon for employees with 6 months to 3 years of service; $0.30 off per gallon for 3 to 5 years; and $0.40 off per gallon for 5 or more years. Limited to a maximum of 20 gallons and 2 fill-ups per week.
