Assistant Team Leader
About The Position
DeVry Greenhouses is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support day-to-day operations at its Holland, Michigan greenhouse location. This hands-on role helps coordinate daily production activities, supports team members on the floor, and helps ensure greenhouse tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. The Assistant Team Leader works closely with the Team Leader and Grower to keep daily operations running smoothly, assisting with planning and organizing work and leading by example. The role involves working alongside and helping lead employees in day-to-day greenhouse operations. The company describes itself as a family-owned greenhouse and nursery operation focused on cultivating excellence in its plants, people, and practices.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Team Leader in overseeing daily tasks within the growing facility.
- Lead a small team in completing urgent jobs and production tasks.
- Support the Team Leader in planning and organizing the week.
- Work closely with the Grower to ensure tasks are completed on time and efficiently.
- Help coordinate team members on the floor and support smooth daily workflow.
- Plan, lead, organize, and control daily activities as needed.
- Support other areas or locations when help is needed.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and productive work environment.
- Lead by example and help maintain high standards for quality and efficiency.
