About The Position

This nine-month, teaching-track faculty position requires teaching undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in the School, mentoring students, providing service to the school, college, university, and professional organizations, and assisting the program coordinator for the Mathematics program.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mathematics or closely related discipline form an accredited university.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness or strong potential for teaching excellence.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students, staff, and faculty from all backgrounds, programs, and colleges.
• Ability to teach undergraduate Mathematics coursework.
• Commitment to student mentoring and student-centered teaching.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Earned doctoral degree or in Mathematics or related field.
• Experience with student recruitment and program development.
• Teaching, mentoring, and service experience at the university level.
• Experience with online course delivery and instruction (Canvas Learning Management System).
• Active involvement in professional organizations related Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate and graduate coursework in Mathematics.
• Assisting with program development and needs in coordination with the Mathematics Program Coordinator.
• Mentoring students toward professional career goals.
• Participating in service to the university, college, school, community, and professional organizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
