About The Position

The Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing (LARW) program at the University of Washington School of Law is seeking applications for a teaching faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (teaching track). This is a full-time, nine-month, 3-year appointment beginning September 16, 2027. The position involves teaching two sections of the first-year LARW course for the entire academic year, with an anticipated class size of 17-20 students per section. The LARW course focuses on core lawyering skills such as legal method, research, and writing. The successful candidate will mentor students, foster an inclusive environment, and collaborate with the LARW team to develop and improve curriculum based on new discoveries and learning outcomes. Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or foreign equivalent.
• Expertise that demonstrates the potential for excellence in teaching legal writing and other practical lawyering skills.
