Assistant Teacher At Tyler
About The Position
Kiddy Kollege is seeking an Assistant Teacher to help provide a safe, encouraging, and stimulating place for children to learn and grow. The center believes every child has the capacity to learn and that children gain knowledge through daily experiences and individualized instruction. The role includes supporting children’s self-help and independence skills, helping develop creative curriculum, and building positive relationships with children and parents. The position also involves classroom and center upkeep and administrative duties as needed. The schedule offers flexibility, with no weekends and work ending by 6:15 p.m. daily.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- State-required courses and in-service hours, or the ability to obtain them.
- Daily attendance and reliability.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and co-workers.
- Must love children.
- Schedule flexibility.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a licensed child care facility; one year is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist children with self-help and independence skills.
- Help ensure a positive, educational, and safe environment.
- Help develop creative curriculum.
- Assist with toilet training when needed.
- Clean and organize the classroom and center.
- Monitor children and reinforce the importance of safety and respect for others.
- Communicate and build positive relationships with children and parents.
- Perform administrative duties as needed.
