Assistant Teacher – Preschool & Child Care
About The Position
Children of America is hiring an Assistant Teacher at its Lee's Hill school in Spotsylvania. The role is designed for someone who loves working with children and wants to begin a teaching career. No prior experience is required. The Assistant Teacher works alongside experienced teachers, learns hands-on in the classroom, and can grow toward a Lead Teacher role. The company offers educational assistance and T.E.A.C.H. scholarships to help employees earn a CDA or degree, and promotes from within. The school serves children from 6 weeks to 12 years old through Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp programs. The hourly pay range is $14.00–$16.00; actual pay depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. The position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, a genuine love of working with children, and patience, flexibility, organization, sound judgment, and a positive attitude. Offers are contingent on successfully completing a background check and submitting required state documents.
