Assistant Teacher
About The Position
We are seeking a CHILDCARE TEACHER to join our team at New Horizon Academy. This role involves working in classrooms such as Twos asst (8:30a-5:30p) or Classroom support (9:00a-5:00p). The ideal candidate will have a positive and reliable work ethic, be able to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday) with flexible scheduling, and possess a passion for working with young children. While previous childcare experience is preferred, it is not required. New Horizon Academy has been a leader in early care and education for over fifty years, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and advocating for childhood resources. Requirements
- Positive and reliable work ethic.
- Able to work full-time (roughly 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday), and be flexible with scheduling.
- Passion for working with young children!
- Meets or exceeds state qualifications for the listed position.
- Previous experience in Early Childhood Education or related field of work.
- Must meet position qualification requirements as outlined by the state department guidelines.
- Can satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
- Can provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff, as well as to understand state licensing regulations and company policies.
