About The Position

We are seeking Assistant Teachers to join our team at New Horizon Academy Johnston, IA! This is a full-time position requiring availability for any shift between 6:30 am and 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday. New Horizon Academy is a leader in early care and education with over fifty years of experience, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and advocating for childhood resources. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in children's lives and are eager to grow as educators. As an Assistant Teacher, you will help shape the leaders of tomorrow by supporting children's social and emotional brain development during their crucial first five years.

Requirements

Must be available to work any shift between 6:30 am and 6:00 pm.
Must be available to work a flexible, full-time schedule, Monday-Friday.
Have a positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
Be willing to learn and grow as an educator.
Enjoy working with children!
Meets or exceeds state qualifications for the listed position.
Has previous experience in Early Childhood Education or related field of work.
Must meet position qualification requirements as outlined by the state department guidelines.
Can satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
Can provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
