About The Position

The Program Assistant/Assistant Teacher is an entry-level position that helps ensure comprehensive Head Start services are provided to enrolled children and families. The position uses the center environment to help staff create rich learning opportunities built into daily routines and support each child’s development and education. Arkansas Early Learning provides Early Head Start and Head Start programs for children from birth to age five and their families.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure comprehensive Head Start services are provided to enrolled children and families.
• Use the center environment to assist staff in creating rich learning opportunities built on daily routines.
• Support each child’s development and education.
