About The Position

Children of America is hiring an Assistant Teacher to work alongside a team of educators in a supportive environment focused on early childhood education. The organization serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp programs. The role interacts daily with children, parents, management, and teaching staff to support a collaborative and positive learning environment. The position involves carrying out lesson plans, helping create a safe and structured learning environment, communicating with families and colleagues, and documenting children's progress. Employees are encouraged to grow professionally, with an opportunity to develop toward a Lead Teacher role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability in challenging situations.
• Commitment to professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily lesson plans.
• Assist in creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents, children, and team members.
