About The Position
La Petite Academy of South Bend is hiring an Assistant Teacher to help provide daily care and create an engaging learning environment for children. The role includes following licensing guidelines and company standards, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, engaging with children, observing and assessing their development, planning for their needs, and communicating with families. The Assistant Teacher will complete training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.
Requirements
- Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
- Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.
Responsibilities
- Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
- Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
- Engage with children and develop the ability to observe, assess, and plan for them.
- Communicate effectively with families.
- Complete training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.
