About The Position

ARCO/Murray National Construction is currently seeking a highly motivated Traveling Assistant Superintendent with 3-5 years of experience to join our Multi-Family construction team. As an ARCO/Murray Assistant Superintendent, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day field operations and administrative tasks associated with construction from day one. Working alongside the Superintendent and Project Manager, you will help drive schedule performance, quality control, safety compliance, and subcontractor coordination in the field. Our goal is to empower you with the tools, mentorship, and hands-on experience needed to grow your leadership skills while helping the project team deliver work safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in an Assistant Super or Lead Foreman role on-site for Multi-Family construction projects
  • Strong mathematical skills for measurements & calculations
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds & work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to read & interpret construction plans & blueprints
  • Excellent teamwork & communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA construction safety certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Attend post-award meetings to understand project scope, schedule, and preconstruction planning efforts.
  • Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in developing and maintaining schedules, sequencing work, and planning manpower and equipment needs.
  • Assist in managing daily field operations to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and per project specifications.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and communicate schedule updates or field changes as needed.
  • Track materials, equipment deliveries, and shop drawing approvals to prevent delays.
  • Contribute to progress reporting, cost tracking, and review of field purchase orders and invoices.
  • Maintain daily job logs documenting key activities, safety observations, and project events.
  • Participate in job site meetings and proactively communicate field progress, risks, and challenges.
  • Enforce the company’s safety standards and support quality control efforts.
  • Demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and integrity while supporting company values and client expectations.
