About The Position

Stoa Construction is seeking a full-time Superintendent in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to lead field execution throughout the construction lifecycle on large-scale, ground-up multifamily communities. The Superintendent coordinates daily operations and works closely with the Project Manager, Lead Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, subcontractors, and trade partners to keep projects safe, efficient, on schedule, and aligned with Stoa’s quality standards, from rough-in through project completion.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or residential construction.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing active field operations.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction sequencing, inspections, and field execution.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and scopes of work.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and jobsite safety practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining productive working relationships.
• Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Multifamily construction experience.
• Experience managing MEP coordination and inspections.
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.
• Experience leading project phases from rough-in through completion.
• OSHA certifications or related construction safety training.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safe work practices, maintain a clean and organized jobsite, conduct site walks, address safety concerns, monitor OSHA and company-policy compliance, and foster proactive safety awareness.
• Oversee quality throughout assigned construction phases; manage inspections in Procore; create, track, and close observations and punch-list items; verify work against drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and scopes; and hold subcontractors to quality standards.
• Drive production in assigned areas, coordinate subcontractor schedules and sequencing, identify schedule risks, remove obstacles, communicate delays and solutions, and verify upcoming work has the required labor, materials, equipment, and resources.
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and daily construction activities; support transitions between phases; maintain productivity across buildings and scopes; resolve field issues; and facilitate collaboration among trade partners and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation in Procore, including inspections, observations, daily reports, and progress; document field issues, resolutions, and milestones; provide project updates; and support closeout and turnover.
• Lead by example, provide direction and accountability to subcontractors and field personnel, build working relationships, mentor less experienced staff, and promote teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
