Park Productions - Asst. Studio Manager

Ithaca College•Town of Ithaca, NY
•Onsite

About The Position

The Assistant Studio Manager works with the Studio Manager to maintain and oversee The Studio, an off-campus space at the South Hill Business Campus. The role includes the responsibilities of Studio Staff, such as client check-in and check-out, tours, and general space and equipment maintenance, plus coordinating reservations and staff schedules. The Studio has three studio spaces and a workshop space. It is free for Ithaca College students creating film projects and may be rented by external clients when not in use by students. Work hours depend on reservations, so there is no set schedule or guaranteed number of hours. Shoots often take place on weekends or late on weekday nights. Staff are generally needed only for check-in and check-out, not during shoots, and these visits typically last no more than an hour. The Assistant Studio Manager also has approximately one hour per week of additional remote work to respond to client inquiries and manage staff schedules. Only students with a major or minor in the Park School of Communications will be considered. Preference is given to students already involved with The Studio or who have participated in Park Productions workshops, events, or other activities as trainees. The hiring rate is $16.30 per hour.
