About The Position

The Assistant Store Sales Manager supports all store operations and contributes to achieving the store’s sales and profit plan. Working in partnership with the Store Manager, this role helps drive sales performance, provide exceptional customer service, develop team members, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure compliance with loss-control and financial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals to achieve the store’s profit plan.
• Contribute to personal and team sales results.
• Support inventory control, expense management, and loss-prevention initiatives.
• Participate in budgeting and help implement store-level financial guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, resolve concerns professionally, and follow up on outstanding service issues.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training team members.
• Foster a positive, productive, team-oriented work environment; support performance evaluations; and motivate and develop associates.
• Ensure adherence to brand merchandising and visual-presentation standards, execute visual objectives, and follow brand “Got to Market” processes.
• Maintain stock levels by ordering, rotating freezer products, and monitoring supplies.
• Participate in planning and facilitating store meetings and training sessions; review and communicate updates from memos, emails, and product-knowledge materials; and use store communication tools to align staff and leadership.
• Uphold waste, damage, and donation guidelines.
• Complete financial reporting accurately and on time, research and resolve register discrepancies, perform banking procedures, and communicate financial issues to appropriate leadership.
