About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers strong results and an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for executing store operations, maintaining a visually appealing store, and creating a positive environment that engages managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to grow the business, oversee an assigned division, maintain merchandising and operational standards, and perform management functions when the Store Manager is absent. This position reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to other store locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers and use company tools to build relationships and brand loyalty.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in the Store Manager's absence.
