Seasonal Starbucks Barista, Kenwood Towne Center
About The Position
The Barista sells and prepares Starbucks coffee beverages according to Starbucks standards, providing caring hospitality and exceptional customer service through product knowledge. The role includes working at coffee, beverage, espresso, and pastry stations; maintaining work areas and equipment to Health Department standards; preparing products to Starbucks recipes and service-speed standards; and creating an inclusive environment for colleagues, customers, and communities. Schedules depend on business needs and colleague availability, and include weekend shifts. Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers; process register transactions; and frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate current working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations.
- Follow company standards and maintain work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
- Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Educate, sample, and serve customers food and beverage products.
- Perform station-specific duties and responsibilities.
- Open and/or close the area using the appropriate checklist and verify completion with the Manager on Duty before leaving.
- Maintain PAR stock levels and product presentation standards.
- Prepare and present products according to Starbucks recipes while meeting speed-of-service standards.
- Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards.
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress in accordance with company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Foster acceptance and respect to strengthen relationships and ensure authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
