About The Position

SOEUR is a Parisian ready-to-wear brand founded in 2008. The company is opening its first United States boutique in New York in January 2027. The Assistant Store Manager will work directly with the Store Manager to open and operate the store, drive sales, coach the team, and lead the sales floor when the Store Manager is away.

The role includes delivering a warm, personal client experience, building lasting client relationships, and sharing knowledge and enthusiasm for the collection. The Assistant Store Manager will partner with the Store Manager on KPIs, action plans, and daily operations; support onboarding and coaching; assist with scheduling, HR administration, and hours budgeting; and take full charge of the store in the Store Manager’s absence. The role also supports merchandising, deliveries, stock organization, inventories, transfers, cash procedures, and shrinkage prevention.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of retail experience, ideally with keyholder or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong selling skills and a genuine interest in building client relationships.
• A proactive, organized approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, personal client experience consistent with the SOEUR spirit.
• Build lasting client relationships and grow the New York clientele.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the collection and share that knowledge and enthusiasm with clients and the team.
• Co-pilot the store with the Store Manager, including KPIs, action plans, and daily operations.
• Help onboard, train, and coach Sales Associates.
• Assist with scheduling, HR administration, and hours budgeting.
• Take full charge of the store when the Store Manager is absent.
• Execute merchandising and window guidelines from Paris.
• Manage deliveries, stock organization, inventories, and transfers.
• Handle cash procedures rigorously and help prevent shrinkage.
