About The Position

As an Assistant Store Manager at AutoZone, you will support daily store operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist the Store Manager with team leadership and development, customer service, inventory and financial oversight, and operational execution. You will help maintain a positive, knowledgeable retail environment and ensure customers receive WOW! service. When the Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is absent, you will take responsibility for store operations and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

Basic automotive parts knowledge.
Proven leadership experience, including strong communication, decision-making, and sales-driving skills.
Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while promoting operational excellence and team engagement.
Ability to foster a positive work culture focused on development and results.
Proficiency in managing, analyzing, and reconciling Profit & Loss statements.
Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise safely and accurately.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise.

Nice To Haves

Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training, and developing store personnel.
Promote clear and effective communication with employees and customers.
Help meet sales targets, maintain accurate inventory levels, and optimize cash flow.
Oversee store operations and efficient workflows, ensuring compliance with company standards when the Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is absent.
Ensure customers receive WOW! service, proactively resolve concerns, and turn complaints into positive experiences.
Lead company initiatives by supporting productivity, employee training and retention, merchandising, and operational efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing shopping environment.
Enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, promote workplace safety, and assist with risk management.
Support budgeting, analyze Profit & Loss statements, and monitor expense controls to maximize profitability.
