Assistant Store Manager
About The Position
The Assistant Store Manager at Uniform Advantage / UA Brands in Decatur, Georgia supports the Store Manager in achieving strategic goals and managing daily retail store operations. The role focuses on building relationships with customers and employees, delivering exceptional customer service, generating sales, and growing the business. Full-time employees work 40 hours per week. The position includes flexible scheduling and may require opening or closing shifts, local travel to visit key accounts, identify customers, and make bank deposits, as well as occasional offsite work at pop-up stores in client hospitals or offices.
Requirements
- Supervisory skills, including strong organizational and professional communication skills.
- Self-starter who is detail-oriented and follows through promptly.
- Ability to handle multiple customers and projects at once.
- Windows proficiency; training on the internal POS system will be provided.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency; Excel knowledge is a plus.
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Flexibility to accommodate opening or closing shifts.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and online assessment.
- Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods; use hands and arms to reach for and handle merchandise, boxes, cleaning supplies, and other items; sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and mentor team members; set and communicate goals, recognize strong performance, and identify opportunities for improvement fairly and consistently.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet sales goals.
- Manage day-to-day employee and store operations, including keeping the store clean and stocked.
- Help control expenses and follow Loss Prevention directives.
- Identify and communicate business concerns to the Store Manager and actively solve problems.
- Travel locally to visit key accounts, find new customers, and make bank deposits.
- Occasionally work offsite at pop-up stores at client hospitals or offices.
