About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers results through an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for executing store operations and maintaining a visually appealing store, while creating a positive environment that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to achieve results and grow the business, and reports directly to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds, as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in an apparel business of similar volume.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans to achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage customers and build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operations standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
• Model the company values of respect, integrity, teamwork, compassion, accountability, and inclusivity.
• Bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds, as needed.
• Travel occasionally to other store locations, if needed.
