About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers results through excellent customer experiences. The role shares responsibility for executing store operations, maintaining a visually appealing store, and creating a positive environment for managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to grow the business, develop team members, uphold merchandising and operational standards, and manage assigned areas of responsibility. The position reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds, as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business (preferred).
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• May require occasional travel to other store locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage customers and build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
