About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports daily store operations, team leadership, and staffing efforts in partnership with the Store Manager. The role helps drive sales performance, maintain operational excellence, and support the hiring, onboarding, and development of store associates. The Assistant Store Manager also helps ensure a safe, organized, customer-focused store and consistent adherence to company standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar retail leadership role.
Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Nice To Haves

3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Support daily store operations to meet sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations.
Monitor sales activity and guide associates in delivering excellent customer service.
Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Supervise and support associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
Assist with recruiting and hiring, including candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and training support.
Support staffing levels through recruiting and employee retention efforts.
Coach associates and provide feedback and performance support.
Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
Reinforce company policies, procedures, and loss prevention standards.
Support execution of merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations and business needs.
