About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager leads the Tune Shop in providing high-quality tuning services for guests and rental equipment. The role trains employees to meet the same standards and assists the Store Manager with sales, staffing, operational, and merchandising functions to support profitability, productivity, and an excellent guest experience. This is a winter seasonal, full-time-hours position for the 2026/2027 season. The stated starting wage is $25.00–$26.50 per hour, and housing is available.

Requirements

• Tuning knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate frequently with coworkers and guests in accurate spoken and written English.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivation and ability to multitask.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of ski or snowboard tuning experience.
• At least 1 year of ski or snowboard rental management experience.
• Familiarity with rental and retail point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Tune guest and rental equipment.
• Provide employee training resources for point-of-sale systems, product knowledge, guest service, and sales.
• Administer company policies and guidelines.
• Assist the Store Manager in communicating company values and goals to employees.
• Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and controlling the daily payroll budget.
• Maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards.
• Manage inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals.
• Enforce company cash-handling and other loss-prevention policies and procedures.
• Recruit and help maintain a quality core staff.
• Stay current on industry products and trends and demonstrate product knowledge.
• Protect company assets through loss-prevention techniques.
• Maintain company paperwork according to policies and standards.
• Provide weekend and night availability, and weekday availability during some holiday periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
