About The Position

As an Assistant Store Manager at AutoZone, you’ll support daily store operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll help provide WOW! customer service and play a key role in store success and the development of future talent. Store teams help customers find the right automotive parts and solutions, maintain well-stocked inventory, and provide product advice while supporting sales and a positive retail environment.

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training, and developing store personnel.
• Ensure clear and effective communication with employees and customers and foster a positive, engaging environment.
• Help meet sales targets, maintain accurate inventory levels, and optimize cash flow.
• Oversee store operations and ensure efficient workflows and compliance with company standards in the absence of the Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager.
• Ensure customers receive WOW! service, resolve concerns proactively, and turn complaints into positive experiences.
• Lead company initiatives to support productivity, training, and retention of high-performing employees.
• Maintain operational efficiency through effective merchandising and a clean, organized, visually appealing shopping environment.
• Enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, promote workplace safety, and assist with risk management activities.
• Support budgeting, analyze Profit & Loss statements, and monitor expense controls to maximize profitability.
