About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager is an integral member of the store management team, developing the store team and contributing to the successful implementation of strategies and operational excellence that support brand equity, customer satisfaction, and financial growth. The role assumes responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager and/or Associate Store Manager. The position is based at the Levi’s® Outlet Stores in Orlando, Florida, and is full time.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of progressive retail leadership experience, with demonstrated skills in supervising, coaching, and training.
• Discretion, professional judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Ability to perform essential job functions and lift up to 40 pounds; duties may involve standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, crouching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, reaching, typing, reaching overhead, and climbing ladders.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to prioritize and budget in alignment with company objectives and values, and to develop and adapt store business strategies and initiatives across categories.
• Communicate business goals to the team and track store performance against daily sales and performance goals.
• Lead and participate in training for new and current employees on company culture, product knowledge, service practices, loss prevention, store policies and programs, and associate responsibilities.
• Support performance management, including annual reviews, expectation-setting, coaching, engagement, and retention; manage minor employee relations issues and provide formal feedback in partnership with store management.
• Recruit and interview candidates for positions below the role’s hierarchy and recommend new hires.
• Follow Levi’s® Stores policies, procedures, and programs, and manage accountability for store operations, payroll, cash handling, and inventory control.
• Lead the merchandising team in meeting visual standards and delivering timely product presentation and housekeeping.
• Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including handling register funds, bank deposits, registers, and facility security.
• Advocate for new in-store technology, policies, and programs; communicate with management to align on and drive business strategy and engagement.
• Supervise the store team in the absence of another member of management.
• Create a high-energy store experience by engaging consumers and modeling service behaviors; supervise and coach associates on sales and service practices.
• Resolve consumer concerns in accordance with company policy and partner with store management on escalated issues.
• Maintain interior and exterior building upkeep in partnership with the corporate office, communicating needs related to appearance and safety.
• Complete required store tasks on time and effectively, contributing personally and directing team members as needed.
