About The Position

Cash America Pawn is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in supporting daily store operations, developing team members, delivering customer service, and driving store profitability. The role provides hands-on leadership experience and involves working with merchandise such as jewelry, electronics, tools, and other categories. The Assistant Store Manager may serve as Manager on Duty and handle store opening and closing, cash handling, and operational procedures. Compensation is $17.50–$20.50 per hour, plus commission and store performance bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching, team development, and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfort working with a variety of merchandise; firearms may be present in FFL locations, with certification provided.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Previous leadership, key-holder, supervisory, or management experience.
• Experience using retail checkout systems.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations and serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns.
• Coach, train, and develop team members to meet company standards.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, and retaining employees.
• Help drive store sales, profitability, and performance goals.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support asset protection initiatives.
• Open and close the store, including cash handling and operational procedures.
• Monitor loan and buying transactions for compliance and accuracy.
• Maintain merchandising and store presentation standards.
• Analyze performance metrics and support business objectives.
• Build product knowledge across a wide variety of merchandise categories.
• Assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas as needed.
