About The Position

HomeGoods, part of TJX Companies, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to foster an inclusive, supportive environment and help the team deliver memorable customer experiences. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, with responsibility for supporting store performance, developing Associates, and implementing company and store initiatives. The position is bonus- and overtime-eligible, with a starting pay range of $22.70 to $31.20 per hour, approximately $56,576.57 to $77,761.63 annually. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

At least 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant Manager or Store Manager.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, including the ability to influence, provide effective feedback, and mentor others.
Proficiency in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.
Strong follow-through skills to implement tasks and initiatives successfully.

Responsibilities

Support store sales results, manage expenses, and oversee merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving operations, with a focus on minimizing shrink and damages.
Attract, recruit, train, develop, and mentor Associates, serving as a role model and fostering a positive experience for Associates and customers.
Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, company initiatives, and store changes.
Provide input on succession planning to address future needs.
Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets.
Coordinate loss prevention and operational programs and improve store layout and efficiency.
