Asst Nurse Mgr
About The Position
The Assistant Nurse Manager supports patient care and services by applying independent clinical decision-making and helping meet patient care requirements. The role combines administrative and patient care functions and supervises and coordinates patient care personnel in the assigned clinical area and/or facility. Work is conducted in accordance with physician instructions, MultiCare Health System policies, and approved patient care standards. The Assistant Nurse Manager also carries out tasks appropriate to the clinical specialty and recommends new or revised unit methods for defining quality management goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtain it within five years of the initial hire date. An RN with 15 or more years of service or an internal candidate hired before January 1, 2021, may satisfy this requirement instead of an education agreement.
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS Certification.
- Two years of clinical experience in a professional or technical role/function.
- Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, or ARNP).
- Certification in a clinical specialty.
Responsibilities

- Perform a hybrid of administrative and patient care functions.
- Execute tasks assigned according to the clinical area of specialty.
