About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing Stationstore operations. The role helps with hiring, supervising staff, completing daily tasks, bookkeeping, and merchandising while maintaining high standards and providing fast, friendly customer service. The Assistant Manager also helps execute the food program, sets a positive example for staff, and demonstrates urgency, patience, and leadership. Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required.

Requirements

• Ability to lead a team of employees and management.
• Skills in delegation and follow-up, teaching and motivating others, planning and organizing, and communicating plans and ideas.
• Cash-handling and bookkeeping skills.
• Problem-solving, advocacy, empathy, and safety and security skills.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes in a shift, and occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
• Ability to push or pull with the arms using up to 20 pounds of force.
• Ability to bend at the waist with some twisting for up to one hour per shift.
• Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with the hands, with eye-hand coordination; may need to climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials or place and remove signs.
