About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers an excellent customer experience. This role shares responsibility for executing store operations, maintaining a visually appealing store, and creating a positive environment for managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to achieve business results, grow sales, develop team members, and maintain store standards. The position reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business is preferred.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed.
• May require occasional travel to other store locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed in the face of challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
