About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists in supervising store employees and participates in the store’s and warehouse’s day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The role helps maintain accountability and security of cashier funds and keeps merchandise displays neat, attractive, and well-stocked. The Assistant Store Manager assists customers with locating items and prices and explaining store policy, supports employees in resolving routine problems and completing special assignments, and assumes the Store Manager’s responsibilities when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience working in a retail store preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising store employees.
• Participate in the day-to-day operations of the store and warehouse and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure the accountability and security of cashier funds.
• Maintain the neatness and attractiveness of store merchandise and ensure displays remain well-stocked.
• Assist customers in locating items and prices and explain store policy.
• Assist employees in resolving routine problems and performing special assignments.
• Assume the responsibilities of the Store Manager when needed.
