About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers orders by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Must be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Must have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Must have motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Must be able to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching; product deliveries may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and carry them to the customer's door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Navigate delivery areas, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
