About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building a team that delivers results through an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for store operations and maintaining an appealing store environment, while creating a positive atmosphere that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to drive business results, develop team members, uphold merchandising and operational standards, and perform management functions when the Store Manager is absent. The position reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in an apparel business of similar volume.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Ability to travel occasionally to other store locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage customers and build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and carry out management functions in the Store Manager's absence.
