About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in maintaining a customer-centric environment, prioritizing customers while driving sales. When the Store Manager is absent, the Assistant Store Manager manages day-to-day store operations, staffing, and inventory. The role collaborates with the Store Manager to lead Associates and provide customers with extraordinary service.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in retail sales.
1–2 years of experience in retail management.
Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Effective customer engagement skills.
Basic merchandising and visual skills.
High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to stand and walk for an eight-hour shift, climb a ladder, and lift at least 15 pounds.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Must be able to work single shifts alone from time to time.

Responsibilities

Manage sales and expenses to optimize results.
Support the Store Manager in maintaining staffing levels consistent with business needs and excellent customer service.
Ensure adequate shift coverage and scheduling based on business needs, including covering shifts when an Associate is unable to work.
Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training Associates.
Maintain brand standards for cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation.
Support the Store Manager in building a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Understand sales goals and align behaviors accordingly.
Supervise and train staff in the Store Manager’s absence.
Manage day-to-day store operations, staffing, and inventory in the Store Manager’s absence.
