About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its Towne East Square store in Wichita, Kansas. Management members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop employees, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. They contribute to store sales and profitability, operational performance, financial management, marketing, and community engagement. The role may include additional duties and projects, and employees may be asked to perform duties outside their normal scope. The company may modify the job description and may require relocation to another company location based on operational needs and career growth. The position requires availability to work the hours needed to open and close the store, including mornings, days, and nights. Assistant Store Managers work a minimum of five days per week, averaging 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods. Supervisors must be available at least five days per week and work a minimum of 30 hours. All management members must be available on weekends and holidays and maintain punctuality and regular attendance. The work takes place in a moderately noisy retail setting and involves prolonged standing, handling merchandise, and other physical tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Assistant Store Manager: open availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; minimum standard work week of five days; average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods.
Supervisor: availability during store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; availability at least five days per week; minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
All management: availability on weekends and holidays; punctuality and regular attendance consistent with company policies; reliable transportation.
Must speak, read, and write English clearly enough to converse with customers, supervise staff, and understand business materials and reports; must be able to perform business-related mathematics.
May be required to move to different locations within the company network based on operational needs and career growth.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of retail leadership experience is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
