About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring store management team members for its Coral Ridge Mall location in Coralville, Iowa. Management members oversee daily store operations, develop and motivate teams, and deliver strong customer experiences. The role contributes to store performance and company growth in a fast-paced retail environment. The posting covers Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor roles, which have different availability and weekly-hours requirements.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to outstanding customer service and memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Assistant Store Manager: open availability, including mornings, days, and nights as needed to open and close the store; minimum standard work week of 5 days; average standard work week of 44 hours, increasing during peak sales periods.
Supervisor: availability during mornings, days, and nights as needed to open and close the store; minimum availability of 5 days and minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
All management roles require weekend and holiday availability, punctuality and regular attendance, and reliable transportation.
Must speak, read, and write English clearly enough to converse with customers, supervise staff, perform business-related mathematics, and understand corporate sales reports.
May need to move to different locations within the company's network based on operational needs and career growth.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must meet physical demands including prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, possible ladder or stair use, and regularly lifting 5–25 pounds; heavier lifting may be required in certain circumstances.
Must have good vision, including color differentiation.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of retail leadership experience, strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance store operations.
Perform additional duties and projects as required.
