About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its Peachtree Mall store in Columbus, Georgia. Management team members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop employees, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to store sales and company growth. The role includes responsibilities spanning team leadership, customer experience, sales, merchandising, inventory, store maintenance, budgets, marketing, community engagement, and operational improvement. Assistant Store Managers must have open availability for the hours needed to open and close the store, including mornings, days, and nights. They work a minimum standard week of five days and an average standard week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods. Supervisors must be available during opening and closing hours, have availability for at least five days, and work a minimum standard of 30 hours weekly. All management team members must be available on weekends and holidays. The position is in a moderately noisy retail setting and involves prolonged standing and other physical tasks described below.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for outstanding customer service and memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Assistant Store Manager: open availability during store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; minimum standard work week of five days.
Assistant Store Manager: average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods such as holidays and back-to-school.
Supervisor: availability during store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; availability for a minimum of five days.
Supervisor: minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
All management: weekend and holiday availability, punctuality and regular attendance consistent with company policies, and reliable transportation.
Ability to speak English clearly to converse with customers and supervise staff, and to read and write English and perform business-related mathematics.
May need to move to different locations within the company network based on operational needs and career growth.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Perform additional duties and projects as required.
