About The Position

At Massage Heights, we are dedicated to providing a culture of care for both our guests and our team members. As the Assistant Retreat Director, you will be the driving force behind our front desk sales team. We are looking for an articulate, charismatic, and collaborative leader who doesn't manage from an office, but leads by example on the floor. If you excel at sales, love developing people into top performers, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, you’ll fit right in. You will partner closely with the Spa Director to oversee all aspects of our Retreat operations. Your primary focus will be driving revenue, ensuring brand consistency, and stepping up as the Manager on Duty when the Spa Director is away.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and hold a team accountable to performance standards.
  • Minimum 1 year of sales management experience with a proven track record of hitting targets (please include specific sales metrics on your resume).
  • Strong background in training, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • A self-starter mindset with exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for delivering top-tier customer service and managing guest relations.
  • Comfortable working with computers, standard software, and basic business math.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing hourly-wage employees.
  • Previous experience with membership-based sales models.
  • Hands-on experience with Zenoti or similar spa POS software.
  • Experience working within a franchise model.
  • Knowledge of the spa industry, massage, and skincare services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example. Hit your personal sales goals while coaching your team to meet and exceed membership and booking targets.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent. Lead the onboarding and ongoing training for Front Desk Associates, utilizing active coaching and role-playing to sharpen their sales skills.
  • Directly supervise front desk operations and manage team schedules to ensure smooth daily execution.
  • Cultivate a positive, high-energy team environment. Take charge of the guest experience, building lasting loyalty by championing the Massage Heights operating system and our CLOUDNINE Commitment.
  • Collaborate with the Spa Director to set clear, motivating individual and team milestones.
