About The Position

LV Petroleum is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager for its Truck Services division in Lake City, Florida. The role supports the Truck Services Manager in overseeing daily Truck Shop operations, supervising and training technicians, maintaining customer-service and operational standards, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. The Assistant Shop Manager may perform the Truck Services Manager’s duties when that manager is absent.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a truck service or automotive environment.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills, including the ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Basic knowledge of financial performance metrics, including profit and loss management.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software used for service tracking and inventory management.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in management or a related field.
• Supervisory experience in a truck service or automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the Truck Services department’s overall operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train staff while promoting teamwork, accountability, and excellent customer service.
• Monitor workflow and support troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and safety standards are followed.
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering, and help ensure services are performed accurately and on time.
• Address customer concerns and provide timely solutions.
• Monitor expenses and support initiatives to achieve financial goals and grow revenue.
• Perform the Truck Services Manager’s duties in their absence.
