About The Position

The Assistant Security Manager supports the Security Manager in maintaining a safe and secure environment at Huntington Mall by overseeing security personnel and operations. The role assists with scheduling, training, and supervising security staff, responds to incidents and emergencies, conducts regular patrols, monitors surveillance systems, and enforces security policies and procedures. The position also helps oversee facility safety, assess staff performance, ensure policy compliance, recruit and develop personnel, maintain adequate security coverage, and prepare weekly reports.

Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and solve problems efficiently.
Ability to think strategically, work under pressure, and adapt to changing environments.
Clean criminal background and ability to pass a drug screening.

Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or management.

Responsibilities

Oversee the safety and security of the facility and the well-being of staff, tenants, and guests.
Supervise and assess the performance of security personnel to support operational efficiency.
Monitor security officers’ activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the Security Manager and Regional Manager to recruit, train, and develop security personnel.
Manage scheduling to ensure adequate security coverage for facility needs.
Assist in maintaining and processing detailed weekly reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Respond to incidents and emergencies.
Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance systems.
Enforce security policies and procedures.
