Assistant Security Manager - Huntington Mall
About The Position
The Assistant Security Manager supports the Security Manager in maintaining a safe and secure environment at Huntington Mall by overseeing security personnel and operations. The role includes assisting with scheduling, training, and supervising security staff; responding to incidents and emergencies; conducting regular patrols; monitoring surveillance systems; and enforcing security policies and procedures. The Assistant Security Manager also collaborates with the Security Manager and Regional Manager on recruiting, training, and developing security personnel, and helps prepare accurate, timely weekly reports.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
- Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and solve problems efficiently.
- Strategic thinking and ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
- Clean criminal background and ability to pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety and security of the facility and the well-being of staff, tenants, and guests.
- Supervise and assess security personnel performance to support operational efficiency.
- Monitor security officers' activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Security Manager and Regional Manager to recruit, train, and develop security personnel.
- Manage scheduling to ensure adequate security coverage for the facility.
- Assist in maintaining and processing detailed weekly reports and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
- Assist with security staff scheduling, training, and supervision.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies.
- Conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance systems, and enforce security policies and procedures.
