About The Position

The Assistant Scanning Coordinator supports accurate in-store pricing and scanning operations. The role coordinates training for team members involved in scanning, tests and scans UPC-marked items on a rotation basis, verifies prices, and ensures price changes are accurately reflected on items, shelf tags, signs, and the in-store price file. The position also maintains department records and price books, oversees scanning equipment repairs and maintenance, assists guests with product and department inquiries, and participates in meetings as required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to perform the listed physical and sensory demands, including standing, walking, bending, repetitive motions, coordination, and maneuvering objects weighing up to 30 pounds; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Store Leader on training for team members involved with scanning, including trainers, executive staff, managers, department merchants, and clerks.
Test, verify, and scan UPC-marked items throughout the store on a rotation basis.
Frequently verify prices on direct-store delivery items.
Ensure price changes are updated on items, shelf tags, and in-store signs.
Ensure in-store price markings are timely, accurate, and consistent with the in-store price file.
Contribute to store profits and revenues.
Monitor pricing for errors and ensure errors are corrected immediately.
Maintain adequate and appropriate department records.
Update price books weekly for price changes.
Supervise scanning equipment repairs and maintenance.
Assist guests with product and department location inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
Attend and contribute to departmental, store, and company meetings as required.
