About The Position

The Assistant Scanning Coordinator supports store pricing accuracy and scanning operations. The role coordinates training for team members involved with scanning, tests and verifies UPC-marked items, maintains accurate shelf tags and in-store signs, and monitors pricing errors so they can be corrected promptly. The position also maintains department records and price books, oversees scanning-equipment repairs and maintenance, assists guests with product-location inquiries, and participates in required meetings. Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment, with possible frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions. The associate must be able to perform the physical and sensory demands described below. The minimum age is 18 years.

Ability to perform the listed physical and sensory demands, including maneuvering objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Store Leader on training for team members involved with scanning, including trainers, executive staff, managers, department merchants, and clerks.
Test, verify, and scan UPC-marked items throughout the store on a rotation basis, and frequently verify prices on direct-store delivery items.
Ensure price changes are reflected on items, shelf tags, and in-store signs.
Ensure in-store price markings are timely and accurate and correspond exactly with the in-store price file.
Monitor pricing for errors and ensure they are corrected immediately, contributing to store profits and revenues.
Maintain appropriate department records and update price books weekly for all price changes.
Supervise repairs and maintenance of scanning equipment.
Assist guests with product and department location inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
Attend and contribute to departmental, store, and company meetings as required.
