About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting stylists, helping with daily salon operations, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment. The franchise has 22 salons across New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania and offers leadership development, ongoing training, and opportunities to advance. Management experience is not always required; many Assistant Salon Managers grow into the position from a stylist role.

The role offers a reliable hourly wage plus tips, flexible scheduling, a steady flow of customers, and salon technology such as Online Check-In and the Great Clips App. Assistant Salon Managers can access technical coaching, skill training, and management and operations instruction through Great Clips University, with ongoing support from salon management. Medical benefits and paid time off may be available at certain locations.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
• Team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization and flexibility.
• Interest in developing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
