Assistant Salon Manager
About The Position
Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting the Salon Manager, guiding and motivating the stylist team, and helping daily salon operations run smoothly. The role offers an opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop leadership skills while continuing to work behind the chair. Management experience is not always required; an interest in leadership and supporting others may be enough to grow into the position. Assistant Salon Managers receive management and operations training through Great Clips University (GCU), along with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. Great Clips salons offer a team-oriented environment, a steady flow of customers, salon technology such as Online Check-In and the Great Clips App, and opportunities for career growth and recognition. All salons are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.
Requirements
- Active, valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
- Strong technical haircutting skills and customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
- A team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
- Organization and flexibility.
- Interest in growing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
