About The Position

The Assistant Salon Manager combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping the stylist team succeed. The role offers an opportunity to take on leadership responsibility while continuing to work behind the chair. Prior management experience is not always necessary; an interest in leadership and supporting others is important. Training in management and operations is provided through Great Clips University, with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. Schedules are described as flexible, with full-time work and dependable retail hours.

Requirements

A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License; requirements vary by state or province.
Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
A team-first mindset and a desire to encourage and support others.
Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
Organization, flexibility, and a desire to help keep the salon running smoothly.
