About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping the team succeed. It may suit a licensed stylist who wants to grow into management or take on more responsibility while continuing to work behind the chair. Prior management experience is not always required; interest in leadership and supporting others is important. The role offers an hourly wage plus tips, with managers earning up to $33 per hour including tips. Employees who work both Saturday and Sunday receive an additional $2 per hour for Sundays. Holiday pay and paid vacation are included. Medical benefits and paid time off may be available at certain locations. Assistant Salon Managers can receive management and operations training through Great Clips University (GCU), as well as ongoing support and instruction from salon management. All Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, which are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

A valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.

Organization, flexibility, and a desire to help keep the salon running smoothly.
Interest in developing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
