About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations, encouraging stylists, and helping the team succeed. Management experience is not always required; the role may be a step toward Salon Manager or other leadership positions. Training in management and operations is provided through Great Clips University (GCU), with ongoing support and instruction from salon management.

Managers can earn up to $33 per hour including tips. Employees working both Saturday and Sunday receive an additional $2 per hour for Sundays. Holiday pay and paid vacation are included. Scheduling is flexible, with dependable retail hours. Medical benefits and paid time off may be available at certain locations.

Requirements

• A valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
• A team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization and flexibility.
• Interest in growing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.

Nice To Haves

• Prior management experience may be helpful, but is not always required.
• Experience as a stylist and readiness to grow into management.
