About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations, encouraging and motivating stylists, and helping the team succeed. The salon provides tools, training, and support to help you develop leadership skills, including management and operations training through Great Clips University (GCU) and ongoing instruction from salon management. No management experience is always required; the role can be a growth opportunity for stylists interested in leadership. Great Clips salons focus on haircuts and do not offer chemical services. Individual salons are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

• Valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
• Team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization, flexibility, and desire to help keep the salon running smoothly.
• Interest in growing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.

Nice To Haves

• Prior management experience is helpful but not always required.
• Interest in progressing to Salon Manager or other leadership positions.
